Camp Dos Cabezas
Your support provides opportunities for youth to attend an educational camp that will have a major impact on their lives. Camp Dos Cabezas provides children from at-risk communities with the experience of a lifetime to help them achieve success in their lives. $75 supports a day at camp for a Houston area student. $750 provides a week (9-10 days) at camp for a nominated student or a student who has applied for a scholarship to attend the advanced Camp Chaco.

You may also want to consider becoming an investor in a permanent camp facility that will provide a great camp experience for many students through partner organizations, as well as benefits for you and your family. Contact us for more information.

Friends of the Artery
The Artery provides an important venue for local and international artists, poets and filmmakers. It provides a forum for important topical discussions involving scientists, sociologists and policy makers. More importantly, the Artery Media Project creates documents for education, public viewing and historic documentation.

Your support of Artery programs and the Artery Media Project makes it possible to present live productions for the lowest possible cost, so that phenomenal talent like the famous Uzbek percussionist Abbos Kosimov and Denver's eclectic indie group Dovekins will be available and affordable for general audiences. Additionally, you make it possible for the Artery Media Project to produce professional video and multi-track recording for the benefit of the artists and audiences worldwide. The archive will have greater exposure and benefit even more people with the sustaining support of Friends of the Artery.

What You Can Do

Most people who donate have experienced our programs and decide to support specific aspects of what we do, i.e. after-school youth programs or Camp Dos Cabezas, or they plan to be a founder of the Houston Museum of Culture. Contact us to learn about ways to participate or to attend special events that will provide opportunities to learn more about future projects.

As we implement the Vision for Houston and the founding effort of the Houston Museum of Culture, we will schedule presentations for community organizations and university departments. There will be many opportunities to attend. And it is important for us to have the help of people in the community; to invite us to an existing meeting to give a brief presentation or set up a special opportunity for our staff to speak.
